I have wanted to make this fancy fold card for a while now and decided to showcase it for my April Class by Post. It is a card that has the wow factor but is much easier to make than it looks. The good thing about the size of this example, it will go into a 6 x 6 envelope so that the recipient does not need to be a Krypton Factor contestant to put it together!
I have used the Flowers of the Season papers from Stampin' Up! which are a 6 x 6 collection, a perfect fit for this style of card. The only tricky part while we are on the topic of papers, if you want your base card to have one pattern and your star to feature a different pattern, you will need to cut the pieces in two different directions to ensure you get the triangles in the correct orientation. Otherwise you could just settle for one of each pattern on each section, that looks fine too.
